The poems represent “reported speech” in the sense that they are inspired by found texts, by language encountered on the streets, in police stations, rail cars, courtrooms, newspapers, books, personal correspondence, nationalist political screeds, and writing on social media and the internet. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase beautiful poetry books at the pop-up Vic Books Stall. The next day, Wai-te-ata Press opened it’s doors for Making Transpositions Visible, a drop-in typesetting event on National Poetry Day.
